Matt moved to Rhode Island in 2004 with is wife and two sons. In 2007 he started visiting local wildlife refuges with a Kodak point-n-shoot camera. After just a few of these basic photo treks, he soon realized what he thought was an interesting way to kill an afternoon was in fact something deeper. His photography has since taken him throughout the Northeast and various other destinations for both commercial and fine art projects. Matt hosts photo walks and workshops at various galleries throughout Rhode Island.
Matthew currently resides in Narragansett Rhode Island with his wife and four children. His work inspires artists of many mediums and is sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts worldwide.

I love watching the expression on people’s faces when they watch my photos. It’s almost as though my photos peel back the emotions that people keep hidden. If only for a moment people are totally exposed, whether its viewing a scene from their childhood or a dramatic landscape. That’s really what fans the flame for me and what pushes me to get up at ungodly hours of the day and go out in less than desirable weather conditions to capture these frames. Things are dismal in our country right now, and if something as simple as a photograph can brighten someone’s day I’m all for it!
I love educating others about different aspects of photography. People don’t realize how much time goes into creating a photograph. You can teach a monkey to press a shutter, but there is something deeper to composing an inspiring and dramatic image. I thank God for what talent I have and for the opportunities He presents me in His time.”
